We are hiring a Customer Success Associate to support our commercial team in delivering world-class service to our global farming community.

Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, you will be the foundational support for our customers post-sale, ensuring they are set up for success from day one.

In this role, you will help bridge the gap between our advanced technology and the daily operations of a commercial grower. You will spend approximately 50% of your time on customer onboarding and support, 30% on data monitoring and reporting, and 20% on cross-functional coordination.

### What we're looking for

We're after someone who:

01. Has demonstratable experience in plant science, agronomy, crop science or AgTech.
02. Is based in the Netherlands. Fluency in English is required, and Dutch speaking is strongly preferred.
03. Has a passion for helping others and a desire to build a career in Customer Success within a fast-paced startup environment.
04. Has the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, simple language for growers and non-technical colleagues.
05. Is highly organized and can manage multiple customer accounts while maintaining meticulous records.
06. Is proactive and comfortable addressing risks or issues as they arise.
07. Is excited by the rapid growth of a startup and are willing to work outside normal hours when product issues or seasonal agricultural needs require it.
08. Is comfortable traveling to support business development and visit customer sites.
09. Has a passion for helping users develop their skills and best practices regardless of their technical specialism.
10. Ideally has a degree in Plant Science, Agronomy, Biology or a related field.

Bonus points if you have:

1. Experience with PAM (Pulse Amplitude Modulation) chlorophyll fluorescence is a plus.

### What you will be achieving with us

As part of our Commercial team, you will:

1. Assist in delivering our onboarding program, helping customers navigate the initial setup to ensure a fast "time-to-first-impact."
2. Use internal tools to monitor sensor adoption and usage, flagging potential issues to the senior team before they impact the customer.
3. Serve as a reliable point of contact for customer enquiries, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all customer information.
4. Prepare data for impact and business reviews, gathering the evidence needed to show growers the tangible value Gardin is adding to their yields.
5. Collaborate with the Product, Sales and Science teams to ensure that the feedback you hear from the field is funneled back into our continuous improvement loop.
6. Support Gardin at industry events and participate in on-site customer visits to learn the nuances of our customers' environments.

### Our Customer Success function

You will coordinate across Gardin's core functions to ensure customer success:

1. Science & ML: Collaborating with our plant scientists to interpret phenotyping data for growers.
2. Product: Ensuring field feedback on our web applications and internal tools reaches the right engineers.
3. Sales: Partnering with the commercial team to identify expansion opportunities during business reviews.

### Testimonials

- **Leonard Boer, Owner and Grower**
"Before, I mainly focused on the climate conditions in the greenhouse...with Gardin I can measure the effect of the climate conditions based on the plants themselves. The sensor data contributes to a homogeneous production of high quality and to cost control. On balance, I estimate that the result per square meter is at least 5% higher."

- **Stijn Jochems, Researcher**
"Gardin sensors added value in seeing a response before we saw the crop deteriorating. I could definitely see the sensors being used to enhance quality and yield in lit crops, particularly as a way to increase their light use efficiency."

- **Scott Philips, Group Development Director Berry Farming, Agriculture Investments**
"Gardin cameras have become an integral part of our LED strawberry production. They support both our long-term crop and site planning as well as our day-to-day understanding of crop performance. They've quickly become an essential tool for our team. We see even more possibilities for how this technology can support our production in the future."

- **Erik Lundgren, Co-founder and Chief R&D Officer**
"Working with Gardin enabled us to explore a new technology and collect useful observations that strengthen our understanding of plant performance. These insights add value to our internal development work and help us assess how real-time plant data may support future optimisation efforts."

- **Rob Van Enckevort, Owner and Grower**
"We pay closer attention to the shading strategy now we work with Gardin, and take better steps to plan for periods of high light, like we have seen this year. Gardin has helped us to think more about the long-term effects of our crop strategy on plant health rather than choosing short term gains."

- **Maurits Kooijman, Head Grower at KP Holland**
"Gardin helped us clearly identify when our plants were receiving too much light. By adjusting our shading strategy based on that insight, the plants are now healthier and growing better than before. We now use the data every day to monitor how the plants respond."

- **Marco Kortekaas, Grower at KP Holland**
"Maintaining consistent plant quality is extremely important for us, especially for our relationships with retail customers. If the quality drops, it directly affects the value of our plants. Gardin helped us clearly identify when our plants were receiving too much light. By adjusting our shading strategy based on that insight, the plants are healthier and growing better, which helps us consistently deliver the quality our customers expect."

- **Dr Sander Hogewoning, Director of Plant Lighting B.V**
"Gardin could reliably detect the transition of CAM-phase III into IV with its sensor. Moreover, it was able to rapidly detect the malate depletion across multiple cultivars simultaneously and repeatedly at varying temperatures. I see strong potential for its use in commercial orchid cultivation, phenotyping plant research, and genetic breeding."

- **Csaba Hornyik, Head of Science**
"For the first time, Gardin's advanced sensors have enabled us to remotely explore plant activity in an industrial setting. This breakthrough has been a significant milestone in our quest to perfect recipe development and crucial for creating the optimal plant environment."
